Lauren’s request read, “We’re looking for a photographer who has a sense of humor that can be goofy with us… we want our photos to feel natural, fun, and real.” The next week, we met at Blue Bottle Coffee in West Hollywood (which is a pretty awesome coffee spot in LA if you haven’t been), and I officially decided that I loved Lauren. She was just so genuine, fun, creative, and really pretty… Oh and we have a mutual affection for cameras: she happens to be a cinematographer!
I know I say this almost every time I do a wedding, but I really do think that Lauren and Anthony’s was one of my favorites. This couple was so sweet and so perfect for each other, and, along with their friends, they were hilarious. We got so many goofy bridal photos, I had to stop a few times and say, “ok ok now we gotta get a serious one!”
The ceremony took place at sunset at the beautiful Agoura Hills Recreation and Event Center, with the couple surrounded by their closest family and friends. Immediately after, I took romantic outdoor photos of the newlyweds while the guests participated in a fun Escape Room style game, and my second shooter, the very talented and sweet Grace from Grace Baek Photography, was there to capture all the cocktail hour fun. The following reception was filled with music, dancing, pizza (YES!!!), donuts, a donut wedding cake, a surprise dinosaur, and just pure love and fun. Thanks again to Lauren and Anthony for trusting me to be their wedding photographer, I was honored and delighted to have been a part of the celebration. The following photos are some of my favorites, reach out and let me know what you think!
