On one of the only stormy days in sunny California, I met a young couple in front of the iconic Venice Sign, for our Engagement Venice Beach photo session. You’ll see wedding rings on both of them, because they’ve actually been married for a year. But because they didn’t get professional engagement photos done before they got married, they were eager to get beautiful photos of the two of them, in love.
We started off our shoot on the Venice Boardwalk. I saw the palm trees and an open field and I knew I had to go there and photograph.
We walked around Venice – inspiration was everywhere.
The sun was starting to set, and I knew this would be the perfect time for our beach engagement photos. And the clouds were insane!! I couldn’t have dreamed of better weather. The stormy clouds mixed with their romance made for raw, emotional, genuine photos which I love so much.
The storm, the romance, the couple’s vulnerability to open up in front of my camera made for an incredible photo session I’ll never forget.
