On August 4th, 2016, Maria & Max said their I Do’s to the scenery of a stunning rock structure at the Zilker Metropolitan Park in Austin. It was an intimate ceremony, witnessed by a few close family members. I’m honored to have been there to photograph their story. They are real genuine people, sweet, funny, a blast to be around, and so in love!!!
The couple met at UNT, both doing a swim workout. They dated throughout college, but after graduation, Max decided to move back home to his roots in Austria. The distance made it difficult and they tried to continue their lives without each other by their side, but it wasn’t long before they realized they couldn’t be apart any longer. Maria moved to Vienna to experience life in a new country and be with Max, and pretty soon after, they decided to make it official and get married.
Max made this flower crown for Maria himself, on the day of their wedding, which made it so much more sweet! The flowers are called gänseblümchen in German (daisies).
Maria on her way to the ceremony site, finishing up her last thoughts for the vows.
Max hid behind the rocks before the start of the ceremony, and was the first to walk down to the smiles of family and the minister (also a family member).
Maria made her bridal entrance accompanied by her brother, sister-in-law, and nephew.
Thanks for checking out a glimpse of Maria & Max’s big day! Love, Yana
