Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph 26 professionals at a civil firm in Los Angeles, California. Everyone arrived dressed in their best attire, ready to update their headshots. With only a couple of minutes to a few minutes per person, I had to work efficiently while ensuring each individual felt confident and comfortable in front of the camera.
We transformed the firm’s conference room into our shooting space, where I set up a 2-light system with 2 bounces. Light came from both the right side and from behind the subject on the left, providing a balanced yet dynamic look. I used a Manfrotto canvas backdrop for a professional finish, along with an eyelighter curved reflector to bring out flattering highlights and a V-flat bounce to soften shadows. This setup created a polished, timeless look that fit perfectly with the firm’s professional image.
Despite the quick pace, the session ran smoothly, and each person’s personality was captured with precision and ease. I love creating headshots that not only look great but also help professionals put their best face forward in their careers.
